Trauma Informed Practice: Workshop Presented by Kim Barthel

Registration is now open for the Workshop Trauma Informed Practice presented by Kim Barthel. The workshop takes place at the Mary Winspear Centre: Charlie White Theatre on February 7th from 9am-4pm. Includes coffee and nutrition break however lunch is on your own. Register now as spaces are limited! Hope to see you there!

Annual BeCommunity Art Show

The BeCommunity Art Show is back at the Spiral Cafe. For the month of January come enjoy a cup of coffee and some artwork. All pieces are for sale and 100% of the purchase price goes to the artist. Pieces go up January 2nd! Stay tuned for information about our Grand Opening celebration.
Nog and Cheer

Each December, BeConnected hosts a gathering for families at Head Office, when we review the year that is coming to an end, and talk about our plans for the coming year. This gathering has affectionately been named our annual “Nog & Cheer” meeting. This year’s Nog and Cheer is scheduled for Tuesday, January 10th, from 4:00—5:00pm, at BeConnected’s Head Office. SOCKs Donations

Every year BeConnected collects SOCKs to donate to Victoria Cool Aid Society’s Rock Bay Landing Shelter.
SOCK’s include a pair of warm wool socks filled with small gifts and comfort items such as treats, gift cards, and hygiene items.
To participate, drop off your SOCKs to head office by Monday, December 12th!

International Day of Persons with Disability Film Festival

BeConnected and Self Advocates for a Brighter Future are partnering with CLV, InclusionBC, Lifetime Networks, Uvic’s SSD and Sprout! to bring you the 2nd Annual International Day of Persons with a Disability Film Festival. This year’s film festival will be held at the University of Victoria’s Hickman Building Room 105 from 3pm-5pm. Admission is by donation.
