Sometimes in social services we create plans that disregard the importance of relationships and social roles and that are, quite frankly, boring. We hope you see the humour in this short video, but also are able to recognize OUR ROLE in creating with people, plans that are meaningful, challenging, and lead to the things that matter like relationships, community, and employment.

This SIXTH annual ONE DAY is a day to celebrate our diversity, community, humanity. A day to play together, dance together, and eat together. On September 6th, come one, come all, to celebrate ONE DAY, in Topaz Park.
Free Children’s Fun Zone, games, prizes, refreshments, BBQ lunch, live music and dancing, performances, local celebrities, an arts and crafts Marketplace: your friends, my friends, our friends.
Community Living Month is a time when communities around the province and across Canada host events to celebrate the abilities and achievements of people living with diversabilities. ONE DAY is using community living month to bring ALL citizens of our community together in friendship, food, and fun.
“We invite you to support and celebrate our community with us. This is a time to reflect on the positive value of belonging, at school, at work, and in community.”
