CARF 2018 Update

CARF Accreditation is right around the corner! BeConnected will be surveyed by CARF for the sixth time on June 4th, 5th, and 6th.
Our welcome orientation will be held on Tuesday June 5th at 8:45am at our Head Office (#240-4243 Glanford Ave, Victoria BC).
Following the survey on Wednesday June 6th our Exit Conference will be held at UVic in the Campus View Room of the Cadboro Commons Building at approximately 2pm. Note: if you are interested in joining us for our Exit Conference please call BeConnected’s Head Office (250.727.3891) on Wednesday morning to confirm the time. Everyone is welcome!

Free Information Session
May 29, 2018
Leanne Dospital (Advocate for Service Quality) and Scott Guffey (Office of the Representative for Children and Youth) will be giving a presentation on the free services available through their offices. This session is intended to help youth between the ages of 15 and 24 and their families transition to adult services.
This free event will be held at Community Living Victoria at 7pm on Thursday June 7, 2018. See the poster below for more information!

Fit in to Fitness with a Regional May Pass!

Every year in May, recreation centres from around the Greater Victoria area participate in a Regional May Pass. This $25 pass grants you access to drop in fitness programs from 14 different recreation centres!
The participating recreation centres are:
– Archie Browning Sports Centre – Cedar Hill Recreation Centre
– Crystal Pool & Fitness Centre – Esquimalt Recreation Centre
– Greenglade Community Centre – Gordon Head Recreation Centre
– Henderson Recreation Centre – Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre
– Oak Bay Recreation Centre – Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence
– Panorama Recreation – Pearkes Recreation Centre
– Saanich Commonwealth Place – SEAPARC Leisure Complex

In order to promote fitness, BeConnected will reimburse staff and residents who purchase the $25 May pass and Fit in Fitness next month! You must provide an original receipt to your Home Coordinator by May 15th, 2018, in order for your pass to be paid for.

Every year food banks receive donations around the holiday season but by Spring the shelves are bare. Therefore each Spring BeConnected holds a Food Drive to support those in need in our communities. Please drop off all donations by Thursday, April 12th. Thank you for your support!
