Annual Art Show at the Spiral Cafe

BeConnected’s 7th Annual Art Show will be taking place at the Spiral Cafe for the month of February. Our Grand Opening will be held on Friday, February 2nd from 5:30-7:30pm. Stop by, enjoy a latte, and view the colourful works created by artists in the BeConnected community! 100% of proceeds go to the artist!

There is a lot going on this month! A few highlights include our annual art show at the Spiral Cafe for the entire month – Grand Opening on Friday Feb 2nd from 5:30-7:30 – and we are moving locations!! Our Head Office will be moving locations on Feb 16th. We will be hosting an open house on February 28th from 3-5pm for those interested in checking out our new space!

The Great Big Show: A musical comedy created and performed by people with disabilities

Last February, Delusional Productions began auditioning and assembling a collaborative theatre troupe of adult artists with developmental disabilities. For the past year they have been writing, composing, and rehearsing a new original comedy variety show.
The show will be debuting at the McPherson Theatre from Feb 7-10th!

Diversity and Inclusion: More Than Just a Good Idea!

Steven Lorenzo Baileys, Community Development Coordinator at the Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria, reviews our day on diversity and inclusion which was presented by Alden Habacon.
The South Island Education Committee and Community Partnership Network paired up to host this full day workshop last December.

Family Nog and Cheer

Each year, BeConnected hosts a gathering for families at Head Office, when we review the year that is coming to an end, and talk about our plans for the coming year. This gathering has affectionately been named our annual “Nog & Cheer” meeting. This year’s Nog and Cheer is scheduled for Tuesday, November 28th, from 4:00—5:00pm, at BeConnected’s Head Office. Annual Family and Friends Holiday Lunch

It’s that time of year again! You are invited to BeConnected’s Annual Friends and Family Holiday Lunch at the Victoria Edelweiss Club on Saturday December 2nd. Join us for music, dancing, holiday lunch and of course a visit with Santa. RSVP to head office by Novmeber 27th. If children under 10 years of age are attending, please indicate their age on the RSVP.
